ISLAMABAD, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) — At least three people were injured when a blast went off in Pakistan’s southwest Quetta city, according to hospital and police officers on Sunday.
Police officers told media that the blast occurred when some unknown miscreants riding on a motorcycle hurled a hand grenade at Chaman Phatak area of Quetta, the capital city of the southwestern Balochistan province.
Following the blast, rescue teams and security forces reached the site. Police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to arrest the culprits.
No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack.
