DAMASCUS — Multiple explosions were heard over the capital, Damascus, and other Syrian areas in the early hours Saturday in what is believed to be an Israeli attack, local media reported.
The state TV said the Syrian air defense is responding to “hostile targets” over Damascus.
Eyewitnesses reported sporadic sounds of explosions reverberating across the city.
This comes as explosions were also being heard in Iran, in what is believed to be an anticipated Israeli retaliatory attack.
