NEW DELHI — Two persons including a woman died and one other woman was injured after a boundary wall of a temple collapsed on them amid heavy rains in India’s central state of Madhya Pradesh on Friday.
The incident occurred near the famous Mahakal Temple. Hundreds of thousands of people from across the country visit the temple every day.
The injured woman was admitted to a local hospital, and efforts were being made to identify the two deceased, said a local police officer over phone while giving details of the mishap.
